to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of
multiple myeloma. Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Scientist, In
Vivo CAR-T as part of the R&D team based in Philadelphia, PA.
Role Overview Legend Biotechnology is a leader in the development
of cutting-edge cell-based therapies. We are seeking a highly
motivated and experienced Senior Scientist to join our rapidly
expanding in vivo CAR-T cell therapy team. This role offers the
opportunity to contribute directly to the advancement of our in
vivo CAR-T platform and pipeline. The ideal candidate will bring
deep expertise in cellular immunotherapy and a strong foundation in
virology and immunology. You will collaborate across research,
development, and manufacturing teams to translate preclinical
discoveries into impactful clinical applications. Your scientific
insight and collaborative spirit will be essential in driving
innovation and improving patient outcomes. Key technical
competencies include lentivirus preparation and execution of ex
vivo and in vitro functional assays to assess product potency and
safety. The successful candidate will demonstrate scientific rigor,
integrity, and the ability to deliver results within timelines,
while fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence in a
fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead, design and
execute research to develop cell and gene therapy platforms.
Optimize cell-based immunoassays, including immune cell isolation
and expansion, T cell culture, virus packaging and titering,
multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, cell-based cytotoxic assays, PCR
analysis. Work closely with team to test different designs to
deliver reliable and consistent data. Document and interpret
scientific results, present the data within research team and
cross-functional teams. Requirements PhD in Immunology, cell
biology or related discipline. 4 years of experience in the field
of cell therapy, in vivo CAR-T experience preferred. Track record
of productivity evidenced by publications and/or patents.
Experience in supporting projects from early research to clinical
stage is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
