We at Micro Focus are seeking a talent individual contributor sales representative to drive sales for our IT Operations Management (ITOM) software solutions in the Mid-Atlantic region.

You will sell into a variety of accounts, both existing Micro Focus customers and new accounts. You will carry a net-new licenses quota and be compensated for achieving your licensing goals. Your target organizations will be primarily enterprise-level commercial accounts. You will be part of a sales team that also includes Business Development, Inside Sales, and System Engineering team members. This role is strongly viewed as the quarterback of the sales team.

You will be home-office based and will travel approximately 50% of your time. You can be based anywhere in the NYC metro area.

REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • 5+ successful years experience in selling complex enterprise software solutions
  • Solid understanding of the software sales process
  • Strong technical vocabulary and the ability to absorb complex concepts quickly
  • Able to operate independently
  • Strong track record of achieving multi-million dollars sales targets
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills
  • Able to organize and work independently
  • Able to travel 50% of the time
  • Background in IT back office tools like monitoring, systems management, service management and data center automation product selling a plus
