For more information visit our website and follow GoodData on Twitter and LinkedIn.JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are looking for a driven and proactive Sr. Sales Engineer to grow GoodDatas footprint and solutions portfolio within our Insurance vertical. The ideal candidate will understand the business and technical challenges within the Insurance industry and across the overall analytics landscape. He/she will have a robust understanding of how to manage Enterprise presales engagements to successfully land new business.The focus of the role is primarily on acquisition of net new business-- roughly 80% of team effort is allocated to winning new logos and 20% to developing cross sell opportunities within our existing customer base.RESPONSIBILITIESManage all technical aspects of the sales cycle. This includes creating high quality professional presentations, prototypes, custom demos and proof of concepts; delivering technical deep dive sessions & workshops; differentiating GoodData from competition; and answering RFI, RFPs, etc.Manage customer trials. Enable and train participants, ensure that the product meets their needs, and guide trials to a successful conclusion. Spearhead the development of our Insurance Accelerators Packages.Present to a wide variety of audiences ranging from c-suite executives to technical evaluatorsKeep current on product releases and new featuresMaintain knowledge of broader technology landscape and developments related to GoodDataDocument and deliver product feedback and new requirements from the fieldServe as technical liaison with internal stakeholders (e.g. Product Management, Product Marketing and Professional Services) and assist in training new hires and colleaguesParticipate in regional industry events / organizations and represent company as a thought leader.Be available for travel 25% of time.QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate comes from a technical background, has experience leading technical presales engagements and understands platform selling. We are looking for:5+ years Enterprise pre-sales experience or comparable customer-facing rolesExperience selling into Insurance or comparable industry experienceStrong understanding of Insurance systems & processes - particularly Claims, Underwriting and Billing OperationsProficiency in SQL, XML, JSONStrong presentation and demonstration skills.Ability to influence both technical and executive audiences.Ability to simplify complex technology concepts and clearly articulate business valueKnowledge of Insurance Applications including Guidewire, Duck Creek and/or StoneRiverPREFERREDDeveloper experience in Java, Ruby and/or JavaScriptExperience conducting business value assessments Working knowledge of Enterprise BI toolsWorking knowledge of Enterprise Integration Standards and BPMExperience in Predictive Analytics and/or Machine Learning ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONAt GoodData, you wont just grow your career.
