Commercial Healthcare \- Pharma & Life Sciences Division:We help clients launch and maintain drug brands by supporting every phase of a pharmaceutical product---s lifecycle\. **Position Summary** **:**
Business Development Consultant is the primary and consistent interface between Conduent Services and the customers within his/her assigned territory and/or assigned customer or prospect group\. The ultimate responsibility for the relationship with these customers and for the customers--- overall satisfaction with the products and services of Conduent Services resides with the Business Development Sales Executive\.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Development Consultant will be specifically responsible for the following activities:
1\. Prospect for, and secure, new contracts from the prospects within his/her assigned geographical area, industry group, or otherwise defined territory\.
2\. Work with existing customers within the defined territory to secure additional contracts for new projects from these existing customers\.
3\. Make all presentations and request contracts be developed as appropriate by Operations\. Review, distribute and follow up with all documents necessary to secure and finalize a contract with the customer\. Obtain the appropriate approvals from Conduent Services prior to delivering any contractual documents to the customer for their signature\.
4\. Complete and submit to Conduent Services a ---Deal Kit--- & ---Worksheet Model--- for each opportunity prior to preparing the contract documents or making any commitments to the customer or prospect\.
5\. Maintain all individual sales information in SALESFORCE\.
6\. Maintain a file of all correspondence with customers and prospects at the Conduent Services headquarters location as well as any other location that may be necessary\. The original versions of all contractual documents must be maintained on file at the Conduent Services headquarters office\.
7\. Coordinate and consult with leadership within Conduent Services in order to maintain current knowledge regarding the latest market research and most likely new prospect opportunities\.
8\. Function as the primary interface between the customer and Conduent Services for the duration of the customer relationship\. This includes, but is not limited to the activities that are required to:
* Prospect for and qualify potential customers\.
* Complete the contracting process once a prospect has been qualified\.
* Maintain involvement and serve as the customer liaison during the service development process in order to enable and maintain communications consistency with the customer and to support the efforts of the Conduent Services Project Manager\.
* Keep Conduent Services aware of the customer---s opinion on the effectiveness and quality of the Conduent Services products and services\.
* Resolve all customer and Conduent Services disputes, concerns and/or questions\.
* Distribute invoices to Clients as appropriate\.
9\. Maintain complete records and regularly update SALESFORCE database with the customers and prospects including:
* Names, titles, addresses, telephone numbers, e\-mail addresses, and other appropriate information\.
* Call records of all contacts with customers and prospects including the dates, activities, agreements, and other information as may be appropriate\.
* Update active sales opportunities weekly with close date, amount, and next step
10\. Actively participate in weekly sales call with leadership\. Weekly topics include, but are not limited to, information such as:
* Customers and/or Prospects to be contacted during the upcoming week\.
* Results and records of contacts with customers and/or prospects during the previous week\.
* Issues that will require support or action by Conduent Services
* Status of outstanding proposals and submitted contracts\.
* Formal presentations scheduled\.
* Provide verbal update on any pending opportunities identified in SALESFORCE\.
* Contracts to be presented\.
11\. Prepare and submit to Conduent Services each month a forecast of all business opportunities within the assigned territory and/or assigned customer or prospect group\. The format of this forecast will be provided by Conduent Services
12\. Attend conventions and/or trade shows as a representative of Conduent Services when requested\. These conventions and/or trade shows may or may not include prospects or customers who are included within his/her specifically identified territory\.
13\. Responsible for meeting individual quarterly sales quota as determined by Leadership\.
**Experience Required:**
* Bachelor---s degree or related experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
* Minimum 5 years Regional and /or territorial quota based sales experience
* Pharmaceutical brand/advertising sales experience
* National retail pharmacy account experience
