Job Description:
Description Job Function: Controls warehouse inventory by
coordinating movement of product from production to warehouse
shipping. Receives, stores, and transfers products within both the
Plant and DC Warehouses. Job Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates daily
warehouse activities so as to meet business objectives, including
by not limited to working in unison with warehouse staff to ensure
that safety, quality, inventory, productivity, and housekeeping
remain at HP Hood LLC standard. 2. Demonstrates best methods and
practices for department success and sets clear expectations for
team's success. 3. Coaches, develops, and motivates team and
provides support for growth at all levels. 4. Ensures effective
inter and intra department communications. 5. Confirms load/unload
schedules are met in both Plant and DC warehouses. Including
planning, releasing of orders, looking up to locate inbound
products and other duties as assigned by manager and supervisor. 6.
Acts as warehouse safety ambassador ensuring safety compliance is
met and assists in conducting safety investigations. 7. Fosters a
positive work environment including policy development, safety
procedures followed, standard operating procedures developed and
followed, and housekeeping standards followed. 8. Supports
employees by resolving mechanical malfunctions by reaching out to
appropriate parties to increase productivity, job capabilities, and
equipment capabilities. 9. Performs daily trailer refer and fuel
checks as needed. 10. Produces daily and weekly reports to identify
product shortages and/ or early releases needed. 11. Answers phones
and schedules driver appointment times. 12. Inputs driver check in
and departures in Nestivo. 13. Research inventory as needed due to
missing cases or damaged items to meet customer demands. 14.
Assists the transportation department to ensure trucks are to be
loaded correctly to meet company standards and meet customer
orders. 15. Coordinates the procurement of support material.
(Including but not limited to paper, writing utensils, and temp.
tags etc.) 16. Manages cycle counting program. 17. Assists in
periodic and scheduled audits to ensure accuracy of inventory data.
18. Provides support to procurement services for production and
processing, including lab samples, and sorts of products. 19.
Coordinates and maintains all raw material delivery schedules. 20.
All other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor. Job
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 4 years' experience in
manufacturing environment. Minimum of 2 years supervisory or lead
role experience. Knowledgeable of all Warehouse Management Systems
(WMS). Proficient in Microsoft Excel Strong general computer skills
Organized and detail oriented. Ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and priorities. Communication
skills written and oral required. Ability to work independently
without supervision.
