The Value Chain Innovation team at Bimbo Bakeries USA is a group of dedicated, creative, and driven individuals determined to build the future of BBU's supply chain. We'll grant you the artistic license to draft new models for supplying our customers and consumers with the world's best baked goods and snacks. You will be responsible for ideating, testing, implementing, and refining industry disruptive practices that will dramatically improve service, reduce cost, and create new levels of job satisfaction for our associates. This position will work across functions, engage with leaders at all levels of the organization, and offer unparalleled opportunities for personal and professional growth.Value Chain AnalystThe Value Chain Analyst will play an essential role in transforming the way that BBU's supply chain operates. You will be a part of a team that will create the new supply chain operating model resulting in tremendous improvements in service, safety, and cost performance.
This position demands a balance between technical and leadership skills.
You will be assigned to perform detailed analyses and documentation of a process' current state along with determining the impact of proposed changes. You also must be able to consider multiple viewpoints, such as sales, manufacturing, distribution, when building a business case and be able to clearly articulate the variables being considered and the effect of the proposed changes. You should be comfortable in working with large amounts of both operational and financial data.You must have a proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and projects and manage work time efficiently.Duties & Responsibilities:Collaborate with sales and operations teams to help find ways to create cost-effective business processesGathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutionsProvides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposalsWill document current processes and future processesWill support in business case developmentWill support the team in evaluating current and future proposed models, understanding the financial and operational issues#LI-TN1 Position Requirements:Requirements & Qualifications:Effective communicator with the ability to articulate a vision and a compelling reason for changeGreat listener, flexible, and open to directional changes based upon business needs and prioritizationWorks well in a team environmentAbility to organize and prioritize work and competing interestsDeals well in ambiguous situations or in environments when not all facts are availableWorks to simplify and optimize processes to ensure quality executionHas the capacity to innovate and respond to changing conditions along with the ability to balance structure & flexibility by planning for the known elements and preparing for changeStrong quantitative, analytical, and project management skillsExperience in data mining, analysis, and reportingFamiliarity with supply chain processes (e.g. production planning, inventory planning, warehouse management, transportation management)Willingness to travel (up to 40%) & work flexible schedules, hours, etc.Education and Work History:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Marketing, Strategy, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related fieldProficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience:
