Responsibilities
--- Manufacture po wders and components and prepare and test samples using laboratory analytical equipment consisting of LECO chemical analysis. --- Responsible for supporting operational tasks to meet project requirements including, but not limited to, material batching and mixing, powder processing (milling and spray drying), forming (die presses), furnace and kiln loading/unloading while maintaining process equipment. --- Operation of overhead cranes, forklifts, and other mobile equipment as needed. --- This position requires a diverse set of skills including strong mechanical aptitude to work collaboratively with a team for equipment disassembly, repair and trouble shooting. To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success we desire the following background: --- High school diploma, GED, trade school degree in mechanical/electrical trades. --- Preference for candidates with production experience in materials industries. --- Ability to perform material handling, weighing, completing process steps in sequence, and documenting process data. --- Strong communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills. --- Ability to work in a team oriented and learning environment. --- Willingness to learn. --- Become knowledgeable about Alcoa EHS standards, protocols and tools to ensure that safety protocols are being followed accordingly. --- Strong attention to detail. --- Basic digital literacy: MS Outlook (email), MS Excel (data entry), MS Access or other database (data entry). Special Instructions: --- Must wear task specific PPE. --- Must have the ability to work in relatively noisy conditions. --- Must be flexible with schedule changes. --- Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating day and evening shift schedule.
