Consultant within PNC's ACFR organization. This is a remote
position that can sit within the PNC footprint, although it may not
be available in all jurisdictions. Certain job responsibilities may
require in-person, in office activities on a regular basis.
Summary:
Responsible for the provisioning of any IT development, analysis,
Information management (DBA), or QA requiring specialized knowledge
of a niche technology.
Education/Experience:
High School Degree and Bachelor's degree in computer
science/software engineering/relevant field or equivalent work
experience required. Preferred 8+ years experience.
Skills and Competencies:
--- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving
skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
--- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
--- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from
business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and
functional specification authoring, to development, testing and
delivery.
--- Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as
needed to resolve issue.
--- Knowledge of XML, Java, JSP and other relevant software.
Knowledge of computer development software as it relates to
systems, such as SQL, Visual Basic, etc.
--- Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Modify existing
databases and database management systems. Write and code logical
and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of
database to management system or direct others in coding
descriptions.
--- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database
development and determine project scope and limitations.
--- Review project requests describing database user needs to
estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.Job
DescriptionProvides solutions for IT and business management on
applying technology to business opportunities, planning and
implementation of cross-functional applications.
Participates in identifying, evaluating, and configuring systems
that are cost effective and meet business requirements .
Monitors client experiences and feedback on the use of business
applications; Enhanced system productivity, as needed .
Provides senior level consulting services to internal business
groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their
business results .
Analyzes, defines and documents clients requirements, and revises
existing systems logic challenges, as necessary .PNC Employees take

of methods and techniques to elicit, analyze and record required
business functionality and non-functionality requirements; ability
to analyze these requirements to ensure the success of a system or
software development project.Technical Writing/Documentation -
Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the
ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference
documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes,
applications, etc.)Workflow Analysis - Knowledge of and ability to
manage IT work activities, processes and progress within a system
to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.Work
ExperienceRoles at this level typically require a university /
college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry
experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree,
a comparable combination of education and experience (including
