Job Description:
Overview
Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control,
including maintaining, auditing and replenishing inventory counts
and communicating inventory needs and status to Operations
management.
Responsibilities
+ Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory
and bin location reports.
+ Determine root cause of order/transactions and assist in
development of process improvement plans.
+ Communicate inventory discrepancies to the Logistics team for
remediation. When necessary, assist in process to prevent
recurrence.
+ Coordinate daily zone audits to identify slotting issues that
limit replenishment accuracy.
+ Collect data and prepare reports as may be required by Warehouse
Manager or other departments.
+ Assist warehouse in order issues, product returns and
nonconforming product.
+ Coach and retrain material handlers in proper inventory let
downs, replenishments, and complete transactions in WMS.
+ Conduct daily cycle counts and zero bin audits.
+ Responsible for answering warehouse and client inquiries in a
timely manner.
+ Assist all warehouse employees with location of inventory
materials.
+ Monitor daily Fill Rate report and identify root cause of daily
kills.
+ Communicate Fill rate information to operational management.
+ Identify product dim and weight issues and assist with correctly
updating for all materials in WMS database.
+ 80-100% of time related to Inventory-related duties.
+ 0-20% of time related to Continuous Process Improvement,
Training, Guiding and Mentoring related duties.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Mental qualifications include ability to perform all
responsibilities efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced
warehouse environment.
+ Mental qualifications include math skills necessary for
maintaining inventory records and understanding process improvement
initiatives.
+ Ability to lift 40 lbs.
+ Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to endure repetitive motion throughout a shift
+ Ability to reach, push, and pull carts, pallet jacks and other
manual handling equipment.
+ Ability to climb stairs intermittently throughput an eight-hour
shift
+ Must be able to carefully and safely drive onsite forklifts and
other warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
+ Previous inventory management or supervisory/lead experience
+ Two or more years of experience within a Warehouse Management
System (WMS)
+ Experience working in inventory management.
+ Strong background in problem solving in a dynamic team
environment
+ Preferred specialized expertise in the CHOP processes, methods,
and skills related to inventory management, and communication
preferred.
+ Computer skills (Excel, Word, Office, etc.)
+ Navigation of warehouse management system
+ Superior organizational skills
+ Strong data entry skills
+ Strong WMS transactional knowledge with troubleshooting
experience
+ Ability to work in an ever changing, dynamic environment
+ Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision
