      • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, planning, continuous improvement, will be a team builder, and will thrive on building relationships both internally and externally.
      • This leader must thrive on challenging the status-quo, and have a passion for designing, leading, and implementing cross-functional process improvements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
        • Analyze work orders and production schedules to determine operational priorities and appropriate information required to process materials, complete assemblies and test products within the lead times.
        • Assign specific work order operations, setups, production tasks and/or special projects to subordinates.
        • Ensure availability of resources required to support department operations including manpower, materials, fixtures, tools, supplies and equipment. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversee all production activities and personnel within the designated area of responsibility. Activities include those related to the fabrication, assembly and testing of components, sub-assemblies and equipment within a specific work center for an assigned production shift. Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, and CertificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should possess the minimum qualifications cited.
          • Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations related field, or BS in Engineering, or equivalent operational experience.
          • Minimum 5 years progressive manufacturing management experience, of which 3 must include managing and directing activities of supervisors and developing people..
          • Experienced in developing, implementing and improving key performance indicator metrics through strong data analysis and continuous improvement.
          • Demonstrated motivational and leadership skills and ability to drive change in a fast-paced work environment.
          • Lean, Six Sigma, TPS, or DMAIC experience is suggested.
          • Effective problem-solving skills.
          • Strong organization and project management skills.
          • Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Able to energize and motivate people and to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
          • Electro-mechanical aptitude
          • Strong analytical skills to interpret drawings and specifications.Language Skills
            • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.                 • The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
                • The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
                • The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.
