Summary:

The Production Worker is responsible for ensuring optimum quality products through the operation of the filler of various product families following regulatory standards, ensuring the product is clean and sterile.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line.
* Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
* Perform and record preventative maintenance activity on production equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
* Conduct equipment changeovers to accommodate production demands.
* Conduct quality inspections on processes, raw materials, and finished products.
* Work with production teammates and other employees to generate efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
* Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
* Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
* Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production
* Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot.
* Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
* Responsible for food safety, report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
* Follows facilities policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure food safety and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Manufacturing Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Inventory Software; and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook).
