Responsibilities:

• The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all safety and environmental inspections, recordkeeping and reporting are done accurately and on time.
  
• The ideal Safety coordinator will be required to coordinate agenda, maintain attendance records and meeting minutes, conduct periodic compliance audits, and document any findings by generating work order.
  
• Assist with administration of workers' compensation claims such as recordkeeping, consulting.
  
• As a Safety Coordinator you will be responsible for maintain compliance with all plant safety environment programs, updating safety plans as needed including emergency response plan, PPE, lock out-tag out, hazard communication, confined space, bloodborne pathogens, hazard assessments, confined safe, and COVID-19 prevention.
  
• The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and conducting safety and health training, including weekly huddled meetings.
  
• Responsible for overseeing compliance with regular inspections including fire equipment, emergency response vehicle components, AED units, hoists, ladders, eye wash stations and stored respirators. Will also work with maintenance on plant inspections.
  
• Ensure that relevant documents are kept current too, including training records, environmental reports and state or federal documents.
  
• Oversee new hire orientation and annual training of all plant employees, leading and conducting employee incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  
• Maintain effective communication with the safety department and HR department.
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Must be able to work 11am-7:30pm
    
  • High School Diploma or GED.
    
  • Required to have experience in Food Manufacturing
    
  • 3+ years of experience in Safety required.
    
  • Knowledge and experience of OSHA regulations is required.
    
  • Certifications: CPR/1st Aid/AED required.
    
  • Can understand RMP and PSM.
    
  • Verbal and written English fluency or Bilingual preferred.
    
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
