globe, is seeking an Information Security Specialist to join our
growing team! Under the direction of the Director, IT Security the
Information Security Specialist is responsible for the monitoring,
deployment, and support of the security infrastructure and other
security solutions within the enterprise. This individual will
support multiple security related projects and technologies,
interfacing with others within the IT organization as well as other
internal business units and external customers/partners. The
Information Security Specialist must, at a minimum, have basic to
intermediate level of knowledge and technical hands-on experience
in multiple disciplines to support a variety of operational
responsibilities and the overall solutions for a complex
environment and help support a variety of operational

Primary Duties
Monitors and analyzes all operations and activities to ensure a
required level of information protection is achieved and
maintained
Maintains, manages and monitors the security infrastructure
Performs day to day administration of security related systems and
applications, monitoring logs and reporting of security events
Enhances and executes security operations processes
Proactively manages and troubleshoots security logging, web
filtering, anti-malware, vulnerability management, and other
security systems
Responsible for the administration of the enterprise workstations,
server (virtual, physical, cloud) environments
Provides security expertise on directory services such as Active
Directory and LDAP as well as operating system environments
Assists with vulnerability assessments and IT operations with
mitigation planning
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems within the IT
infrastructure. Coordinate and communicate with impacted
constituencies
Maintains and improve intrusion protection and monitoring
capabilities
Contributes to systems incident response and event handling
Develops, communicates and trains others on security standards and
procedures
Develops and maintains concise documentation related to
responsibilities
Researches and recommends new security technology capabilities and
their applicability within the greater organization
Assists in the planning and coordination of security related
projects and reports on security system status and security
metrics
Maintain effective working relationships within team and among
internal customers. Learns new areas quickly and takes ownership of
issues/projects
Perform additional tasks as required or contribute in technology
and business projects across company
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of security concepts, principles and
practices
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities and the
ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance
Knowledge of best practices in developing security standards and
processes
Knowledge of network systems and security protocols
Knowledge of security software programs and implementation
Experience with Windows, Apple and Linux operating systems
architecture, security controls, hardening, testing and monitoring
tools preferred
Experience with anti-virus software, firewalls, vulnerability
management, and intrusion detection systems
Experience with log management/SIEM reporting tools
Experience with forensics and incident response preferred
Previous HIPAA, SOX, PCI compliance experience preferred
Experience with enterprise management tools (SCCM/SCOM, LanDesk,
ServiceNow)
Working knowledge of server and end-user computing
virtualization
Working knowledge of ITIL processes and concepts
A functional understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and
cybersecurity
Knowledge of computing and mobile endpoint management, security,
and tracking
Ability to analyze complex problems, determine root cause and
implement corrective action
Good customer service skills
Solid team player with a "can do" attitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Passionate about Information/IT security
Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds.
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from
one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level
is usually moderate.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related
discipline
1-2 years of relevant work experience with similar
tasks/responsibilities
Security+ / CISSP / CCNA / GIAC certifications preferred
