This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. - WORKS IS EST or CST ZONE

All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Support / Manage a block of clients for end - to - end enrollment activities
  • Attend client technical meetings addressing file exchange implementation questions
  • Ongoing management of multiple weekly / daily in and outbound file exchanges to ensure timely, accurate exchange of data; identify and monitor key performance indicators (ie, success, failure, errors) to report and track status and health of processes
  • Create, test, activate and daily manage ID card set up for assigned clients
  • Manage manual enrollment loading exceptions based on qualifying events
  • Supports process documentation including, but not limited to Policies and Procedures and Process flows
  • Support continuous process and technical improvements with our internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive completion of projects and initiatives; follow through on execution of strategies and demonstrate an ability to stay the course despite obstacles
  • Other duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications:


    • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
    • 3+ years of health care enrollment experience with heavy emphasis on 834 EDI processing
    • Experience in a healthcare environment with HIPAA requirements
    • Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (EST OR CST zone) from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need


      Preferred Qualifications:


      • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in a related field
      • Enrollment technology expertise and workflow management


        Telecommuting Requirements:


        • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
        • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
        • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

          • Experience with evaluating, revising, and maintaining production, turnaround time and accuracy goals
          • Excellent analytical skills with ability to read and understand complex data and make thoughtful, articulate recommendations; ability to translate analysis of data into meaningful outputs
          • Excellent project management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines, and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
          • Exceptional communication skills
          • Experience working as a liaison between operational departments and / OR technical team
          • Proven ability to influence course of action when others are directly accountable for outcomes
          • Quick decision maker
          • Proven leadership skills - role model, motivator
