PSO's may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.Job Duties / Essential Functions---Delivering high end customer service---Responding to emergencies---Deterring and preventing crime---Performing ingress/ egress control procedures---Investigating incidents---Completing daily logs and incident reports---Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols---Building and Maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and co-workers---De-escalating conflicts---Detaining suspects---Monitoring CCTV cameras---Performing other related duties as assignedSkills / Qualifications---High school Diploma or GED equivalent---Two years of face to face customer service experience---Possess at least one of the following experience / education criteria:o 1.) Four years of armed security experience and/or 2. Two years of military experience and/or 3. Successful completion of astate or federal certified law enforcement training academy---Military or Law Enforcement Experience---Basic computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office, etc.)---Excellent written and oral communication skills---Proficient time management skills---Reliable transportation---Excellent de-escalation skills---Proficient firearms skills---Extensive use of force knowledge---Proactive problem solving skills---Must be able to obtain state required armed security officer license---Ability to obtain OCAT, PATH, and PPBT certifications---Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS trainingrequirementsPhysical Requirements / Working ConditionsThese are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
