POSITION OVERVIEW Azure Cloud Monitor ing Engineer 5+ Years of
experience RemoteJOB SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a senior
level expert in the architecture, design, configuration and support
of Azure Monitor tools for our federal client, with tasks related
to the support and buildout of a robust set of monitoring tools
along with policies and procedures to respond to and remediate
failures and attacks on client systems.Responsibilities of this
role include but are not limited to: Develop plans for implementing
the monitoring solution including sufficient architectural
information to allow evaluation as to whether the proposed solution
accomplishes the client's objectives Expand upon existing data
collection for infrastructure and applications to ensure that all
aspects of the client's cloud systems collect data in a robust and
consistent way. Ensure that all infrastructure and applications are
deployed consistently with data collection for logs and metrics
configured appropriately. Identify cloud resources and applications
that require improved operational awareness. Develop and/or enhance
data visualization and discovery capabilities, e.g., create
dashboards for day-to-day monitoring of infrastructure and
applications Build dashboards to ensure the operations team can
quickly assess overall system health and identify problem areas
quickly. Provide tools to help operations staff and DevOps
engineers quickly analyze infrastructure and application data to
find anomalous activities and address application and
infrastructure failures. These tools should be flexible to provide
engineers with complex analysis capabilities. Create and document
policies and procedures for cloud infrastructure and emergency
responses to failures, attacks, and disasters. Create and update
Runbooks for specific infrastructure and applications, and general
procedures for troubleshooting infrastructure. Provide training to
client technical staff on all tools, policies and procedures
created. Plan, stage and execute game day exercises to simulate
failures, attacks, and disasters with client staff to ensure
readiness when responding to operational problems. SKILLS AND
QUALIFICATIONS Must be flexible, able to work in a highly
collaborative environment, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work
independently and collaboratively as needed. Must have superior
interpersonal skills and strong communication skills. Be
comfortable working directly with the Client Project Manager and
Client Technical Lead to support emerging client needs.Additional
skills include: 3+ years' experience with designing and
implementing Microsoft Azure Monitor and security tools, to include
configuring graphical interfaces Ability to work with multiple
streams of technical work, ensuring consistency across all
projects. Ability to work with Agile and DevOps/DevSecOps
processes. Experience with Cl/CD solutions for automated
deployments. 2+ years experience with Azure private networking,
including Virtual Network Gateways and Azure Firewall. 2+ years of
experience managing and monitoring applications in Kubernetes and
Docker Experience working with DevOps engineers to remediate
application issues. Experience creating and maintaining cloud
governance documentation. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Federal agency
experience Experience with containerized applications Experience
with implementing monitoring in non-Azure environments (e.g. on
premise and in AWS) Excellent communication skills EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a
major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering,
Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS Per our Federal client's request, United States
Citizenship is required. Must be able to provide three past/current
client references to new client. Work location is Remote.
Background and credit check is necessary to pass a Federal public
