**LOCATION** 4287 Route 130 S Edgewater Park NJ US 08010 **Overview**As **System Administrator III** you will oversee all areas of System Administration. This professional must have expert knowledge of all areas, managing and building upon existing foundation and implementing new ideas for future scalability. This professional must also present expert knowledge of technical support for the Windows and Linux (SuSE, Red Hat, etc.) based servers/desktops in the environment.This position also works on complex projects and communicates the progress and status to the other team members and management. They are capable of conceptualizing, documenting, designing, tuning and maintaining complex systems and networks.Management and Oversight of Technology and Environments+ Serve as System Administration, in helping drive technology and new initiatives as best fit for a retail environment.+ Develop and communicate plans and expectations for the support of the server infrastructure.+ Monitor and provide continual feedback to management regarding system performance, project updates, etc. Ensure the compliance to system policies and procedures.+ Individual needs to ensure that appropriate communications are in place to status problems and projects.+ Individual is expected to be engaged at the appropriate times with the team when addressing issues to ensure the troubleshooting of problems and issues result in a successful and timely resolution.+ Able to help in managing and administering complex technology, both current and new and helping in driving the businessImplementation of Technology+ Configuration and installation of servers and other devices or services for all OS levels supported by the organization.+ Maintain system updates, patches, and upgrades to meet system performance and security policies+ Manage installation and configuration of clustered applications+ Experience with deploying, configuring, and monitoring and troubleshooting Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, PHP, MySQL+ Configuring/Troubleshooting Active Directory Domains, Power Shell, Perl, Python, LVM, NFS, NIS, DNS, Multi-Pathing, EMC Powerpath, Performance Monitoring)+ Establishes/recommends/documents policies on systems and application implementation, operations, maintenance and utilization of systems and services.Maintenance & Administration1. Manage, design, and review current infrastructure (i.e. Samba, CIFS, VMware) design to ensure it is able to meet business needs, industry best practices, and supports organizational goals for cost, stability, and capability.2. Undertake and manage research, development, and implementation of new technologies to meet IT and business goals.3. Manage large and complex site(s) with multiple active projects accurately and effectively.
