The freedom to pursue new ideas, offer different perspectives, and grow in your career is fundamental to working at Dorman. -Video Editor -Job Summary:Are you passionate about editing videos? -Are you constantly consuming video content? -Do you dig cars? -Dorman Products, a century-old automotive parts manufacturer headquartered in Colmar, Pennsylvania, wants to hire a Video Editor to help tell the story behind our company's auto repair solutions. Candidates will be comfortable ingesting and cutting footage and have working knowledge of production and pre-production processes. Animation and VFX experience isn't required, but is a plus. You'll work alongside the rest of the Video crew, a very small and close group. Ideally, you'll independently aim to improve our videos, demonstrate great creativity, sound judgment, and precise execution. -Responsibilities and Duties/Essential Duties:Edit product videos under the tutelage of senior Video EditorsAssist with edit and timeline creation of original content piecesConcentrate on editing but also support director of photography with filming and equipment setup when neededEnsure that videos serve strategic business purposes, making sure elements like branding, messaging and visuals tell the intended storyConsistently serve as QC for all videos releasedHandle content coordination including ingest of footage and organizing footage within file structure as well as uploading, and scheduling finished videos -Job Specific Competencies:Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop)Experience in video pre-production, production and post-productionWorking knowledge of the operation of DSLR camerasLighting/audio knowledge a plus but not requiredAnimation ability is a plus but not required -Qualifications:One year work experience in video productionImpressive examples of past videos--your reel will speak for itself! - -Dorman Leadership Core Competencies:Sound judgmentInnate sense of responsibility for producing resultsIntegrityWillingness to be part of a team -Physical Requirements:Capability to lift 50 pounds.
