Job Description

The Career Development Coordinator will provide guidance and supportive services informed by positive youth development and motivational interviewing practices to assigned program participants.

Job Duties:

  • Act as a liaison with program partners including employers, internship sites, post-secondary schools, and other community partners.

  • Use career assessment software and results for customizing member education and employment plans.

  • Prepare and maintain database of post-secondary credential options, including employment, trade school, military, and colleges.

  • Conduct bi-weekly outreach developments to establish paid-work opportunities ensuring the safety and suitability for members.

  • Assist worksite recruitment, enrollment, and coordination of participant placement.

  • Assist with the establishment and implementation youth-driven Project-based learning activities that support 21st century skill and career development.

    Skills & Requirements


    • A Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, education, social work, vocational or other appropriate fields.

    • Experience with Out of School Youth (OSY) and hard to serve populations facing multiple barriers to learning and employment.

    • Experience in job development, career services, and career counseling/coaching or other relevant experience a plus.
