Job Description:
Dow Coating Materials (DCM) has an exciting opportunity for an
Research & Development (R&D) Scientist in Architectural
Coatings Application R&D Team located in Collegeville, PA.
Architectural Coatings Application R&D Team focus on the new
technology and product development to drive innovation growth in
Coatings business.R&D Scientist will partner with the project
team, including application technical leader, synthesis partners
and technologists/technicians, Technical Service and Sales Service
partners and the marketing team to drive the innovation project
forward through the Stage gate Review process. As we continue to
evolve in leveraging digital capabilities to our work process and
to promote our innovation products to the broad market, we are
looking for an individual who has the passion to utilize the
available digital tools and implement them into daily project
management to support our business' digital promotion strategy.
Primary Responsibilities will include: Demonstrate and encourage a
safe and inclusive work environmentCollaborate with the project
team, Technical Service and Sales Service partners and Marketing to
drive the innovation projects forward to fulfill the market and
customer needsAnalyze large data sets using analysis and
visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, jmp, Power BI, etc.) to draw
data-based conclusions and define clear value propositions for
internal stakeholdersPrepare and present technical presentations
internally and externally and properly document all
learningsProvide regular updates on project status and progress to
marketing and other stakeholdersWorking safely in an R&D
environment, actively participating in company safety
programs.Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:Demonstrated
inquisitiveness, adaptability, and willingness to learnExcellent
communication skills, communicating technical benefits and progress
to supervisors, business management, customers and throughout the
technical community.Comfortable working as a part of project teams
to achieve project goals and objectivesStrong scientific method,
statistics and project management skillsSelf-motivated individual
with ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilitiesRequired
Qualifications:A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required;
Chemistry, Engineering, or science related degree3+ years of
relevant industry experienceA minimum requirement for this U.S.
based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.

process.Preferred Qualifications:PhD in Chemistry, Chemical
Engineering or related field is preferred.Additional Notes: This
