Job summary: Leads the development and implementation of integrated communications for corporate-wide short-term and ongoing projects and initiatives. Proactively recommends communications strategies and tactics to maximize the effectiveness of ongoing internal and corporate communications. Manages the maintenance and development of existing communications vehicles (Intranet, TV-based communications) and makes recommendations for new channels when appropriate. Works closely with marketing communications team to ensure consistency of internal messaging with marketing efforts and positioning.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities:

Internal & Corporate Communications Leader

  • Collaborates with a broad range of internal audiences in support of strategic corporate initiatives, with accountability for both corporate communications and internal communications;
  • Partners with GT's Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to identify, coordinate and execute global internal communications of ELT strategies to employees;
  • Partners with product & platform management, sales leaders, and business management teams to gather and disseminate customer success stories and other newsworthy efforts and initiatives throughout the organization
  • Works with business & functional leads to translate business strategies, projects & initiatives into effective communication approaches; Create and recommend content strategies and execution plans to help successfully promulgate strategic corporate initiatives and create compelling supporting content through copy writing and/or sourcing copy writers as appropriate;
  • Drafts, reviews for approval and edits ELT message content; determines appropriate communication channel to reach global employees (email, Intranet, etc;)
  • Work with ELT to plan and execute communications-focused events, including the President's Town Hall meetings, executive lunches with employees, etc.;
  • Responsible for maintaining, updating and innovating internal communications channels, including company Intranet, TV communications and more;

    Distribute company-related announcements that reflect business objectives and company values, consistent with employment brand.

    • Track, monitor and evaluate communications activities and accomplishments to provide feedback and recommendations to leadership.

      Required Minimum Qualifications:

      Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, business management or related field

      Skills and Experience:

      • 5+ years' experience in corporate communications, internal communications, strategic marketing, advertising or related function at agency or internal marketing department; preferably with technical product B2B experience
      • Strong organizational and project management skills; Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects;
      • Internal communications and/or marketing communications copy writing experience, preferably in a technical B2B environment; executive ghost-writing experience highly preferred
      • Excellent verbal and written skills
      • Strong computer skills - proficient use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); HubSpot and Adobe Creative Suite; proficient with web-based project management tools and collaboration technologies
      • B2B Industrial, budget & project and contract management experience desired
      • Collaborative experience working with internal cross-functional teams and external customers required; Experience virtually working with global teams desired
      • -15-20% domestic and/or international travel required
