The Transitions Resource Educator will coordinate educational & supportive services necessary to implement each student---s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) with integrity and provide an appropriate transition program. $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS \n RESPONSIBILITIES \n Major Function: Instruction & IEP Case Management \n \n Utilize research-based, best practice interventions, programs, and strategies to implement vocational curriculum for student---s progress with transition goals. \n Deliver classroom instruction in a meaningful and appropriate way to enable students to progress toward goals outlined in the IEP. Classroom time should be structured and scheduled. \n Design a comprehensive vocational assessment plan for each student to appropriately determine transition plan outcomes & support student awareness of the skills needed for life after school. \n Compile and maintain necessary records, IEPs, and reports for the purpose of maintaining accurate student records. \n Collaborate with IEP Case Manager to develop IEP transition goals and benchmarks based on vocational assessment results. \n \n Major Function: Transition Supervision & Collaboration \n \n Arranges meetings with OVR representatives. \n Travel to and develop relationships with community partners for on-the-job vocational training opportunities, supervising job coaches and evaluating student progress. \n Maintain an electronic database that includes all required materials for on-going collaboration with community-based training partners. \n Plan and supervise the functions of all job coaches assigned to work sites or on-campus workstations for the purpose of effectively meeting student goals. \n Provide input to administration on aides/paraeducators, as appropriate, on quality of implementing support with student progress on transition goals. \n \n Major Function: Fostering Positive School Climate \n \n Set clear expectations for students--- behavior and provide and implement behavior management strategies and techniques to control severe student behavior and to maintain a safe and effective learning environment.
