PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Compliance and Quality, the Continuous
Improvement Coordinator leads and oversees continuous improvement
projects to accomplish measurable business process improvements;
employs Lean Enterprise methodology and analytics into
organizational operations to accomplish business objectives; and
works with other functional leaders in the planning, designing, and
accomplishing of key projects that bolster the company's Quality
Management System and overall Operations. In this position,
successful candidates will make immediate contributions by
enhancing key business processes that add value to all
Stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the activities related to continuous improvement of the
business processes with responsibility for results, including cost,
quality, and effectiveness. Provide project management of any
cross-functional CI teams to achieve objectives.
Work with Quality Department Management to identify process
improvement opportunities within the company by analyzing metrics
and KPI's.
Develop positive working relationships with employees, using a
collaborative approach to ensure the best overall success.
Drive Culture Change and FactBased decision making throughout the
organization.
Use appropriate problem-solving tools to provide rapid improvement
with sustainable results.
Educate, engage, and empower staff by creating and facilitating
lean training and development programs.
Develop Training materials and operational SOP's.
Proficient with Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Outlook
Perform other responsibilities and tasks as assigned in support of
the Compliance and Quality Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational requirements
High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum experience
5+ years working in a manufacturing environment
1+ years in a small group leadership role
3+ years in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
Green Belt Certificate preferred.
Physical requirements
Routinely walking within a Manufacturing environment.
Occasionally operating maechanical tools or shop equipment.
Occasionally sitting for extended periods of time.
Occasionally operating a computer, printer, telephone , or other
office equipment.
Mental requirements
Analyze and derive conclusions from complex data and present the
information clearly to co-workers.
Ability to coach personnel with varying education levels.
Work environment
Work indoors in a normal office environment.
Work indoors in a normal manufacturing environment with elevated
levels of noise and dust.
Frequent computer use at workstation.
Occasional public contact requiring appropriate business
apparel.
