Job Description:

The DEI Content and Program Specialist will assist with leading CBH efforts to realize a diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) workplace. This includes strategizing and implementing strategies that advance organizational change, foster a positive and inclusive work environment for everyone and, ensure that DEI collaborations are incorporated in the decision-making processes.Essential Functions:

  • Leads and organizes CBH's DEI strategy, programs and learning initiatives.
  • Partners with CBH teams across the company to embed a DEI culture into all teams.
  • Assists with collection and management of metrics and benchmarks to measure progress of DEI goals.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert in the absence of the Director on all DEI matters and be the accountability leader for the DEI strategy evolution.
  • Researches, develops, recommends, and executes creative strategies to foster the organizations diversity goals.
  • Manage DEI communications strategies.
  • Possess a high-level of creativity and ability to use data to create material and DEI content for distribution.
  • Demonstrates versatility in producing clear communications through broad range of styles and mediums, including intranet, social media outlets, emails, presentations, articles, and live training events.
  • Reviews current practices and policies, assessing and analyzing the extent to which they support or hinder CBH's diversity goals.
  • Collects and analyzes statistical data to evaluate the company's population in accordance with diversity standards and goals.
  • Collaborates and partners with Human Resources in areas such as hiring, succession planning, development, and engagement.
  • Develops and/or acquires training and development to aid diversity and retention initiatives.
  • In absence of Director, provides guidance to leadership and human resources staff in developing objective performance and other employee evaluations and policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
  • Leads committees with DEI-related lens and provides guidance and insights to committee task managers.
  • Provides training and policy updates to colleagues, ensuring legal compliance of management and human resources staff.
  • Assist with management of social media platforms for internal and external DEI communications strategy.
  • Curates relevant DEI-based content for distribution throughout company through sources including, but not limited to newsletters, small group discussions.
  • Organizes departmental activities and facilitates cross-departmental/agency communications
  • Maintains Employee Resource Groups oversight and related correspondence, manages oversight of activities, scheduling, and troubleshooting.Position Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree required; Master's in business related field or organizational leadership preferred
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a progressive leadership position(s), with a focus on DEI management, communications and change management initiatives.
    • Demonstrated passion for DEI work; cultural humility in all facets of diversity, including cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, ability, etc.
    • Covid -19 vaccinationSkills:
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with broad level conflict resolution skills.
      • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws and regulations.

      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
