Reporting to the Director of Compliance and Quality, the Electronics Senior Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and auditing the quality of workmanship of competed circuit boards and other finished goods. The Senior Quality Inspector will work with Senior Management and Manufacturing Engineering to identify trends and issues, then seek the root cause of issues and implement corrective action, as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise the quality activity on the floor, ensuring compliance with Quality Management System, J-STD, and IPC 610 class 2 and 3 standards.
Oversee the management of the various KPI's and report to the leadership team and senior management.
Provide leadership, guidance, discipline, and timely reviews to those in the department.
Proven ability to identify issues, implement and drive resolution at all levels of the company.
Plans promotes and organizes training activities related to product quality (IPC Certs) and the Quality Management System.
Oversee the inspection process, to include incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
Oversee the management of the Corrective Action and Non-conformance processes both internal and customer supplied
Utilize statistical data and product specifications to assist in the quoting function, ensuring assembly operation times are consistent with times recognized in quoting modules.
Knowledge of electronics assembly, components, and equipment used in the assembly process (automated and manual).
Ability to use various forms of measuring and test equipment.


Educational requirements

High School Diploma or GED Required

ISO/AS Internal Auditing Certification (preferred)

ASQ Certifications (preferred)

IPC Certificate for Training (preferred)

Minimum experience

10+ yrs. as Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector in electronics manufacturing environment or equivalent experience

Quality Management experience a plus

Physical requirements

The job may require extended periods of standing on a concrete floor.

The job may require lifting up to 30lbs.

Mental requirements

The job requires reading and understanding mechanical drawings and general knowledge of GD&T.

The job requires basic math skills.

The job requires knowledge of computers, business ERP Systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Familiar with statistics, quality control documentation, SPC

Work environment

The job requires you to spend most of the day in or around the manufacturing area. Manufacturing Facilities are generally noisy, dusty and occasionally have an odor from certain processes. Contact with petroleum-based lubricants and cleaners may not be avoidable.
