About St. Christopher's Hospital for Children -St. Christopher's

Drexel University, is a 188-bed facility that provides exceptional
care to children throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and
surrounding counties.St. Christopher's has more than 220 pediatric
experts on staff, combining top-notch pediatric care with a wide
array of pediatric specialties including Cardiology, Ear, Nose and
Throat, Gastroenterology, Oncology, and Orthopedics. It houses the
only Verified Pediatric Burn Center between New York City and
Baltimore and is one of only three Level I Pediatric Trauma Centers

Responsibilities:
The Per-Diem Ultrasound Tech -is responsible for the complete and
accurate performance of all aspects of the technical procedures
required in the daily operations of the Section of Ultrasound under
the direction of both the physician Section Chief and Lead
Technologist of the Section of Ultrasound.Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of all available clinical
ultrasound equipment such as scanners, color printer and processing
equipment. Must also demonstrate proficiency in the utilization of
all aspects of the department's radiology information system
(IDXRad). Performs standard and complex examinations with skill,
accuracy and efficiency. Complex exams include, but are not limited
to, color and doppler imaging and the processing of those studies.
Must have excellent sensory skills (i.e.-eyesight, hearing and
speech). Excellent communication skills are essential. Must
demonstrate the ability to work as a contributing member of a
highly functioning, cooperative and efficient team. Must, at all
times, demonstrate skills in delivering excellent customer service.
Demonstrates ability to perform procedures on patients ages neonate

Qualifications:
-HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent requiredGraduate of an AMA
approved Ultrasound training school.Experience: 1-2 years of
general Ultrasound experience preferred.Pediatric experience
preferred. -- BLS Certification-ARDMS or ARRT(S) preferred,
required within 1 year of hire.
