About our Mission What does this role look like? We are seeking a Network System Engineer to participate on design teams for computing infrastructure, primarily as a computer network designer or architect. The engineer will participate in network engineering activities including product selection, design, development, deployment, integration and test. Some travel is required to offsite locations including direct waterfront support to surface ships. Location: Life in Moorestown, New Jersey Moorestown, New Jersey is located in Burlington County and is an eastern suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Basic Qualifications: -- Bachelor Degree or higher in an Engineering field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent -- 1-2 years experience as a mid-senior network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying and supporting Software Define Networks (SDN) -- 5 years experience as a mid-senior network engineer, designing, implementing, deploying and supporting a production network at an enterprise scale -- Knowledge in Layer 2 and 3 routing and switching -- Knowledge and deep understanding of configuring and deploying network switches and routers including VLANs and routing protocols (including TCP/IP and Multicast) -- Experience with design, provisioning, and troubleshooting of WAN and LAN connectivity technologies (i.e. MPLS, LACP) -- Knowledge and deep familiarity of creating ACLs, TCP/IP subnetting, and VLAN trunking -- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret Level Clearance Desired Skills: -- Knowledge and deep familiarity of priority queuing, Class of Service (CoS), and Quality of Service (QoS) -- Experience with Campus Area Network technologies (Wi-Fi, PoE, 802.1x) -- Experience with coding / scripting / automation / orchestration platforms (Python, Ansible), including interfacing with APIs -- Knowledge and familiarity with SDN/Network automation -- Excellent communication and relationship skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics to both technical and non-technical staff BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: job.Qualifications Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
