EDO is a linchpin of an ecosystem of data-first functions that will work together seamlessly to enable Amerihealth to achieve the true value of data. The mission of the EDO is “Empowering the business of Amerihealth by delivering trusted solutions through complete data services.”

As Director of Enterprise Data Operations, you would be responsible for managing the operations of the Amerihealth Enterprise Data Office (EDO), ensuring portfolio initiatives are executed, identifying and solutioning areas for operational efficiency enhancement, and ensuring strategic objectives of the Data Office are achieved. The Director’s responsibilities will include but are not but not limited to; budget and resource management, portfolio management, financial reporting, executive management reporting, strategic roadmap development and operational analytics. 

 Job Functions:

  • Delivering the vision of Enterprise Data Office Operations at Amerihealth.
  • Conduct research to identify areas for operational efficiency improvement, investigate current process workflows, business procedures, and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Oversee resource utilization metrics and analysis to optimize resources allocation and productivity across in-flight and planned initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain business case estimation models to increase accuracy of project funding asks.
  • Enhance current project intake process for AmeriHealth Enterprise Data Office. Maintain key relationships with business line stakeholders to ensure data office resourcing needs are captured in new programs.
  • Mentor and enable our current associates to thrive in our organization.
  • Demonstrate ownership of data integrity; Ensure that it supports the analyses and recommendations being proposed.
  • Monitor and report data security compliance / access controls around our data.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data collection methods and dependencies.
  • Work with key stakeholders to integrate analytics requirements, and updates into production cycles.
  • Solid knowledge of the SDLC and enforcement of standard software development practices
  • Conduct audits and troubleshoot tracking gaps to maintain data confidence and implement data standardization practices.
  • Support a data-driven culture by educating the organization on everyday uses of data as a resource.
  • Work with our Data Science / Analytics organization in helping achieve our product goals.
  • Engage and develop strong working relationships with Senior Leaders through effective leadership, communication and change management process.
  • Build and lead a world-class team, and be proficient at attracting, developing, and organizing talent in support of Amerihealth client focus and culture of excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) + years overall IT leadership, budget and staff management experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading Big Data / Data Ingestion based teams, leading Business Intelligence implementations.
  • Experience leading an Enterprise Data Operations organization, client-first mentality, collaborative and helpful attitude.
  • Azure cloud experience around Big Data technologies and frameworks.
  • Consistent record of strong leadership within highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience creating and executing effective change management, leading others through transformational change.
  • Broad and deep understanding of data systems (e.g., industry platforms, data tools, portals, workflow, automation), digital savvy, and experienced in surfacing technological/digital solutions to solve business issues.
  • Demonstrable experience leading, developing, and motivating professional level staff.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal clients to understand their business needs.
  • Business Intelligence experience, preferably PowerBI, SSIS, Tableau, Snowflake, BigID, Synapse Analytics Studio.
  • Expert knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data schemas, etc.
  • Proven knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Extensive experience working with a Data Science / Product organization group and enabling them to deliver at a fast pace.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while successfully meeting established goals and deadlines; manage work in a fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge of common ingestion patterns and how to utilize real-time, stream based processing.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Knowledge of business risk, solid understanding of robust operating procedures and controls.

Other Skills:
Healthcare experience is preferred; HL7 and CMS Interoperability knowledge is plus.
 
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related studies; or equivalent related project experience.
