We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to make every aspect of Jornaya's products simple, intuitive, and easy for every Jornaya customer. In this new role, the UX Designer will accomplish this mission by partnering with product managers and leading engagements with external customers and prospects to research, and internal stakeholders to understand, document, and wireframe new and enhanced product user interfaces and visual analytics, while measuring and tracking usability to inform ongoing optimization. Our customers' needs, feelings, and emotions need to be infused into every aspect of our products. In this role, the UX Designer will establish user personas, own interviews, conduct user testing, and create UX mocks & wireframes of the user journey for each product for hand off to product designers & engineering. The UX Designer is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences, and, in partnership with product management and engineering, is an advocate for our customers throughout the development lifecycle.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • Establish and own the entire user experience design process and execute this process alongside development of our product roadmap
  • Develop a solid understanding of what each Jornaya product is, why it was developed, the business value our products provide and how they work
  • Establish relationships with Jornaya customers to create and share user personas, inform user experience opportunities, and iterate on existing products
  • Partner with product management to understand problems we're solving, value propositions we're developing and minimum viable business requirements to inform user experience research.
  • Build user experience wireframes and mockups that make using Jornaya's products easy, and inspire delight with our customers.
  • Drive continuous internal and external user testing and feedback sessions along with rapid UX design iterations
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to make decisions on MVP and iterative UX designs throughout the development process
  • Partner with product management through alphas, betas, and post-release customer sessions to seek feedback and inform iterative UX design enhancements
  • Work with designers to develop final designs for handoff to product management and engineering.
  • 2-4 years of UX design experience in the SaaS technology space; marketing technology preferred
  • A strong passion for understanding human behavior, emotion, and usability needs to design simple, and intuitive user experiences
  • Demonstrable ability to own and lead market-facing user experience research and testing and translate into UX wireframes for hand-off to visual designers (please include links to your portfolio/examples when applying)
  • Experience working with product managers, visual designers, software engineers, and data scientists in an agile environment
  • Ability to proactively engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels with a strong business acumen
  • Ability to fully understand Jornaya business domain
  • Attention to detail - does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project
  • Speaks and writes clearly and concisely for different audiences
  • Ability to work independently, make informed decisions, ask for guidance where needed and keep stakeholders informed of progress
  • Thrives in a fast-moving agile environment, where making progress is valued over perfection
