The Engagement Center Inside Sales Training Manager is responsible for the assessment, planning, development, delivery and education of training programs which improve employee and organizational performance. The Training Manager will promote the learning process through the use of adult learning principles and proven presentation methods and exercises in a multi-faceted customer call center, focusing on the growth and development of representatives to maximize results. The Training Manager will be a strong classroom presence, understand the pharmaceutical industry, and display the ability to convert concepts, skills, and knowledge into a learning context for participants.

Key Job Responsibilities:

(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)

  • Manage, develop/design, assess, and deliver all operational aspects of training and development of department with full portfolio of ongoing and ad hoc programs, including New Employee On-boarding, AE/HIPAA/safety training, supervisor/manager training, and soft skills training, via support modules/live training workshops certifications/re-certifications, train-the-trainer programs, Webex, live classroom, virtual sessions, and teleconferences.
  • Develop/administer program assessment tools (i.e. exams, quizzes, performance demonstrations, etc.), training tracking mechanism, and training agendas/curriculums.
  • Determines behavioral/performance objectives.
  • Provide effective/constructive coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Evaluates the competency levels of training class participants providing detailed evaluations and feedback in a timely manner. Works with sales management to formulate a representative development plan.
  • Create and maintain a workable Training Plan to determine the goals, strategies and tactics to be implemented to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Participate in the call monitoring with representatives providing coaching on product and selling skills.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:


  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree preferred

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare experience
  • 2+ years' experience in pharmaceutical sales training
  • 3+ years' experience in pharmaceutical sales role
  • Inside Sale experience and/or contact center experience highly preferred
  • Adept at learning new technical, clinical, and medical product and disease state knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to take SOPs and create content to train employees on consistent execution of programs for clients
  • Demonstrated ability to define and utilize metrics to drive performance and quality
  • Ability to perform in high-pressure and fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and solve complex problems simultaneously.
  • The drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic
