Learning & Development Designer III works with Business Partners and other stakeholders on complex, multi-business and/or enterprise level projects that may be North American or global in scope, to deliver high quality, multi-modality blended learning solutions on a variety of learning projects that support CEO, enterprise and/or business strategic priorities, enable people strategies and impact key business measures. This individual will also design and develop media, graphics and interactive web-based assets for innovative learning and performance solutions that strengthen employee capabilities and knowledge. --- Takes a North American perspective and One TD approach to design, development, learning consulting and evaluation --- Partners with Talent & Learning Advisors and other L&D team members to complete up front project scoping and planning, sets standards, co-ordinates work, and manages multiple deliverables --- Typically involved in complex, multi-business and/or enterprise level design projects, where depth and breadth of expertise includes creation of instructional frameworks, content mapping, prototypes or drafts, narrative scripts, storyboards in multiple media/modalities including virtual classroom, eLearning, webinars, self-led materials and workshops --- Accountable for the creation and design of programs and curricula that enable broad capability development, often taking a multiple modality approach, where the designer is required to exercise independent thought, creativity and judgment on both the content and design (i.e. how the content will be delivered) and may include related best practice research --- Manages relationships with internal and external professionals and vendor firms to enable creation of best in class solutions that leverage external expertise where required; ensures applicable transfer of learning back to TD to build internal expertise --- Creates comprehensive blended learning solutions via development / delivery / maintenance of a wide variety of learning and development solutions, programs and tools aligned to business, HR and talent management priorities and broader talent strategy --- Recommends the most effective blend of instructor-led (virtual or in person), hands-on, eLearning and/or video to be used in a given solution --- Implements and successfully delivers multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity, ensuring regular updates to stakeholders (including Learning Enablement, Delivery and Talent & Learning Advisors as appropriate) and L&D databases/tracking tools --- Delivers effective, planned and consistent SME and stakeholder engagement and deliverables, including regular and effective SME and/or executive stakeholder communications and updates, whether virtual or in person, in partnership with Talent & Learning Advisors as agreed --- Ensures all learning solutions include both an appropriate evaluation & measurement plan and an agreed maintenance plan to enable both program impact and currency --- Expert level of design / development knowledge, adult learning principles and practices, and significant experience in multiple modalities and blended learning solutions --- Handles highly complex and/or high risk projects with a broad scope of responsibility that may include CEO deliverables and/or North American/enterprise wide projects and initiatives --- Creatively develops all learning solutions (i.e., eLearning/simulations, online performance support tools, presentations, graphic rich deliverables, videos, eBooks, etc.) to be visually engaging while also in alignment with TD Brand standards and guidelines --- Ensure learner accessibility and principles of diversity and inclusion in developing all learning solutions --- Contribute to the success of the team by willingly assisting others in the completion and performance of work activities; provide training, coaching and/or guidance as appropriate.
