The Mortgage Assistant role has been created to ensure a smooth transition for newly onboarded VPs as well as to provide ongoing process and procedure support. While newly onboarded VPs complete training, undergo licensing requirements, and permanent branch support resources are determined; the Mortgage Assistant will act as the newly onboarded VP's mentor and training partner to ensure complete understanding of the Guaranteed Rate POD flow, GR products, departmental structure and contacts. The Mortgage Assistant works alongside the VP to ensure loans are locked, priced, and disclosed properly by offering support within GR systems, knowledge of GR platforms and products, while ensuring adherence to GR policies and best practices. The Mortgage Assistant will demonstrate expert knowledge of CFPB disclosure requirements, Guaranteed Rate POD flow, secondary market pricing scenarios and investor guidelines. As necessary, the Mortgage Assistant will act as a liaison between the onboarded VP and the borrower to maintain fluid communication regarding borrower needs and Guaranteed Rate/industry expectations.
Responsibilities:

• Mortgage Assistant will complete the following tasks daily:
  First Point of Contact
  • Track the onboarding of VPs Nationally, reaching out proactively to provide a point of contact and support
  • Encourage open dialogue with newly onboarded VPs; becoming a point of access within the GR organization
  • Promote usage of and regularly monitor the Mortgage Assistant Support inbox for requests from GR VPs Loan Level Concierge
    • Taking referrals and completing initial applications, determining loan suitability, placing loans with investors per guidelines and submitting a complete application to the MC for processing
    • Conducting continuous research of all investor guidelines and overlays to ensure alignment with current policies
    • Maintain communication with transitioning VP to ensure real time status awareness of all files in process
    • Price and place loans with the appropriate Corporate Objective
    • Loan Level problem solving, including but not limited to restructuring of files as needed
    • Create preapproval letters for borrowers as needed Continued Partnership and Support
      • Best Practice demonstrations and guidance via screen-sharing to ensure the VP's future success
      • Pipeline Maintenance: daily assessment of team turn-times to minimize lock expirations, missed contingencies, and deviation from scheduled closing dates/times
      • Change or extend locks and request any necessary pricing expectations as needed
      • Track/approve disclosures being sent to borrowers:
      • Review LE and CD for accuracy and ensure there are no missing charges
      • Verify the borrower's understanding of the funds required for closing and that funds will be properly sourced from approved accounts
      • Act as the transitioning VP's Training Partner/Mentor: Maintain mentor relationship with transitioning VPs after they are licensed Personal Growth:The Consultant Vice President will remain up to date on all relevant trainings, updates to investor guidelines, and internal communications which affect both Sales and Operations.
        Must Have:
        • Prior experience using Encompass
        • Ability and knowledge of loan processing procedures and licenses
        • Open to teaching and coaching via phone
