PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Patient Registration, Scheduling, and
Compiling and Maintaining Patient Records in appropriate area
- Register patients into electronic health record (EHR) including
entering demographic/insurance information. Admit patients. Verify
- For patient admitted into Unit, assign patient a room through the
- Utilize EHR to schedule patients for procedures based upon
openings in the schedule and procedure to be scheduled (e.g.
C-Section, PUBS, induction, etc.)in consultation with clinical
- Handles charges, logs in all patients and will utilize the log
and charge information (paper and/or electronic) completed by
nurses for each patient (in-patient and out-patient) plus
information from patient's medical records to enter patient charges
- Verifies and reconciles all charges entered based upon separate
reports and work queues generated within the EHR.
- Coordinates with IS&T for maintenance of i-Phone; I-Pad;
business continuity devices, etc.
- Answers phones and relays all messages received including all
stat and critical test results to the Nurse.
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent
with the core values of the Hospital.
Associates Degree Required
3 years of relevant patient care experience
Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage
in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance,
supervision or training, you will be required to meet the
requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the
Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the
Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background
clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records
check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence
working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
