Job Description:

At Cargill, our janitorial staff plays a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities, thereby supporting our mission to nourish and sustain the global community. This position involves maintaining the hygiene and operational standards of our food processing areas, ensuring a clean environment for food production and employee welfare. The janitor will report to the Facilities Manager and work closely with other operational teams. Clean and maintain floors, walls, and machinery within food processing environments. Properly dispose of waste, including hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations. Manage supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Follow sanitation protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Report maintenance and safety issues to facility management immediately. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certifications in chemical handling or sanitation may be beneficial but are not required.
