Job Description Job Description SUMMARY Reporting to the Director, the Co-Pack Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Co-Pack area and Contract Packaging operation by directing and controlling all related activities to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Maintain and analyze production metrics Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Quarterly and Annually. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and executes plan to improve metrics. They will need to maintain a safe, productive, quality, and positive environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee production team across 3 shifts. Coordinate work schedule, labor, space, supplies, and equipment for all contract packaging projects Plan, assign and follow-up on work activities in your areas and meet required goals Complete analysis and develop & execute plans to drive production efficiencies Manage spending to budget in all CoPack and related areas Using excel, create tools, productivity models, and analysis that measure facility performance to assist management in understanding results Perform daily CoPack area inspections for finished product quality, production speed, labor utilized, space used, and raw materials inventory Provide production analysis and keep management aware of all activities that are not in compliance Health & Safety management–ensure operations procedures, equipment and facilities are in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements Responsible for the success of the operation ensuring adherence to business plans. Oversees CoPack operations, while ensuring established operational procedures are being followed according to company standards to effectively meet/exceed customer requirements. Manages key performance indicators and other related measurements; providing analysis, reporting and recommendations on a timely basis. Reviews forecasts, inventory reports, productivity reports, and other available material and devises Train employees, obtain performance results, organize and assign work, and maintain productive, safe and motivating environment Maximizes quality and productivity by understanding job standards for each function and evaluating performance variances to identify root cause and corrective action Participate in collection of performance measurements consistent with customer and site requirements Implement and actively ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Ensure inventory integrity. Perform timely reconciliations on work orders. Research and resolve discrepancies as necessary Manage resources–equipment and assets and develop control tools that ensure accountability Manages labor hours and payroll Effectively problem solve, delegate and follow-up on tasks assigned to Team Members Coach, mentor & develop Production Supervisors Lead & direct 3 CoPack Supervisors, Maintenance supervisor, and Planning Supervisor Perform other tasks as assigned EXPERIENCE Degree in Business Administration / Management / Engineering and / or equivalent job experience 5 years management experience in food manufacturing Previous experience in Co-Pack environment a plus Solid computer skills (MS Office, Red Prairie, or other ERP systems, Nulogy, Redzone) COMPETENCIES Customer Centricity Fostering Culture Collaboration Problem Solving & Decision Making Managing Through Change Developing Self & Others Planning & Results Orientation Communication Always Improving Mindset Business & Financial Savvy
