What You'll Do: Precision Finishing: Expertly operate various industrial grinding devices to remove excess metal (such as parting lines and rough edges) from metal castings, achieving a flawless final product. Initial Processing: Utilize specialized equipment, including gate-breakers and hammers, for initial casting preparation and separation. Quality Inspection: Conduct thorough quality checks on finished parts, identifying and sorting castings based on type and quality standards. (Knowledge of casting defects is a plus, but we provide comprehensive training!) Operational Excellence: Maintain strict compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and quality protocols. Team & Growth Focus: Actively participate in essential cross-training opportunities to broaden your skill set and contribute flexibly across the production floor. ???? What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to safely lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand for long periods in a non-climate-controlled, industrial environment. Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance—reliability is key for our 2nd Shift operations. Teamwork: Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team-based production environment. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring. Safety Focus: Proven ability to adhere to and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company's strict safety policy. Previous experience or knowledge related to metal casting defects or industrial finishing is a plus. ????
