Job Description:
As a pivotal part of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), a
dedicated arm of the Department of Homeland Security, the role of a
Customs and Border Protection Officer centers on enforcing laws,
securing the nation's borders, and facilitating legitimate trade
and travel. This position demands a high degree of vigilance and
integrity, as officers are essential in preventing terrorism,
managing immigration, intercepting illegal drugs, and ensuring
goods comply with U.S. regulations. Screen and process arriving
people, vehicles, and goods at U.S. borders Enforce customs,
immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations Identify and
intercept contraband, such as narcotics and unreported goods
Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation of operations
and incidents Collaborate with other law enforcement and government
agencies on security efforts Engage in continuous training on the
latest law enforcement techniques and technologies Ability to make
rapid and accurate decisions Effective communication and
interpersonal skills Proficiency in using law enforcement databases
and equipment Physical stamina and resilience Multilingual
capabilities are highly advantageous Medical Insurance Dental
