Our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company's premier vacation brands. We deliver experiences to consumers through Disney's Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Lines, and Disney Vacation Club. We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digitally led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business, as well as other innovative initiatives such as Hey, Disney!As a Software Engineer, you will focus on the front-end engineering within the Solution Delivery team under Disney Experience Technology and Digital (DX T&D). Our team plays a key role in improving efficiency, defining standards, and enabling reusability across the organization. You'll build and deliver libraries, add new features to existing applications, and implement solutions proposed by our Architecture team. The Software Engineer follows certain Technology Standards defined within DX T&D and implements improvements based on new tools and frameworks.This position reports to the Technology Manager and will contribute to a front-end engineering focused group.What You Will Do

  • Develop and build tools for flutter and other frontend frameworks
  • Write Unit tests and have 85% code coverage
  • Participate in peer code review process in Enterprise source control tools like Github
  • Communicate the blockers in daily standup and perform proactive research on mitigation plan
  • Document and demo the completed work at end of demo meeting
  • Collaborate with external partners and team members for clarifications and demos.Required Qualifications & Skills
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding on frontend technologies like Angular, Flutter, and Dart.
    • Understands basic security using the latest runtimes for Node.js Typescript.
    • Worked with NoSQL datastores
    • Knowledge of the enterprise authorization / authentication mechanisms
    • Prior experience working on fast pace and high-performance team.
    • Proficient in writing quality code with unit tests
    • Contribute to the entire development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and releases.
    • Collaborated in the development and review of code, design documents, standards, testing, debugging, and workflows.
    • Develop, lead, create, and maintain the technical components related to server-side and web service-based solutions
    • Experience in maintaining existing platform, libraries, documentation, and application
    • Designed and developed highly scalable software systems and applications in designated functional focus areas
    • Provided support to the application teams during onboarding and issues.
    • Expert in quality code review and productive comments with feedbackPreferred Qualifications
      • Contribute to the new Initiatives and Projects with Software Development Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
      • Present ideas and proposals to Leadership
      • Understands the Open-Source Contribution model and able to perform Open Source Software (OSS) Technical Reviews
      • Expert in version control software - Git and GitHub and contribute to the Mono repo modelRequired EducationBachelor's degree in computer science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.#DISNEYTECH
