Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES: Validate product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base; test and automate REST API services; create test plans; identify and write functional, sanity, and smoke test cases; write automated test code using API automation testing tools, including Karate, REST-Assured, SOAP, Postman, Behave, and JMeter; program using Java, JavaScript, and Python; utilize version control systems, including GIT and SVN; use CI/CD tools including Maven, Concourse, and Jenkins; test performance of RESTful APIs using LoadRunner, JMeter and K6; write code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency; develop and maintain code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages; provide input into various software development lifecycle stages; partner with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices; report test execution results to senior leadership; repair complex broken automation scripts and perform peer reviews of automation codebase; build new tools to assist in faster test automation and functional testing efforts and innovate on existing automation processes; analyze broken test cases and diagnose and repair to working order; diagnose and repair complex bugs within production code; review project progress, evaluates results and recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis to executive teams.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience testing and automating REST API services; creating test plans; identifying and writing functional, sanity, and smoke test cases; writing automated test code using API automation testing tools, including Karate, REST-Assured, Postman, and JMeter; programming using Java, JavaScript, or Python; utilizing version control systems, including GIT; and one (1) year of experience using CI/CD tools including Maven, Concourse, or Jenkins; and testing performance of RESTful APIs using JMeter and K6.
