To be considered for this role, you should have recent hands-on experience working with Oracle Eloqua and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ideally with experience as a system administrator. In this role you will serve as our lead system administrator for our digital asset management (Widen), video technology services (Vidyard), events (Cvent), among others. Marketing Automation Platform system administration is at the core of this position (we are currently migrating our automation platform from Oracle Eloqua to Salesforce Marketing Cloud). This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Technology, and will work closely with the business process owners within Cengage's Marketing Operations, Marketing Automation, and Global Technology business teams. As our system administrator, you will inform and set best practices used by the Cengage global marketing and sales business units. Where you see the need for change, you'll be empowered to set a strategy for more effective processes and enhancements. You'll also own all marketing systems integrations (both new and existing), including Salesforce (moving from a proprietary Siebel based CRM), and other marketing technology integrations.Skills You Will Need Here:The successful candidate is an experienced, energetic, detail-oriented, and highly analytical business analyst with experience in the sales and marketing functions of a high-tech software company. You should also be able to demonstrate the ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into process and systems improvements that can advance our CRM and Marketing Automation (MA) initiatives. Additional important attributes include:

• Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, computer science or related field.
• 5-10 years work experience as a business analyst (system administration) supporting a Sales/Marketing organization.
• Experience supporting CRM and MA processes including lead management, lead nurturing/scoring, campaign management, content management, web analytics, sales pipeline, and forecast management.
• Hands-on application configuration experience with Eloqua Marketing Cloud. Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
• Must be comfortable analyzing data and solving problems. Experience configuring cloud applications is necessary.
• Experience creating and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans is preferred.
• HTML and JavaScript knowledge is a plus!
• Experience providing training and guidance on best practices to users.
• Strong and effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate with team business stakeholders at all levels.
