Job Description:
Overview Seeking an Experienced Project Manager with systems
administration and business application management experience to
join our growing Operations team Your Part-Time Controller, LLC
(YPTC) is a national leader in providing outsourced accounting
services to nonprofit organizations and a BEST PLACE TO WORK, with
more than 400 staff. We are hiring a Project Manager to assume
responsibility for our evolving collection of business applications
and equipment. The Project Manager will plan, implement, and manage
company software and develop training programs to ensure full
adoption and awareness across the organization. This individual
will partner with internal departments and our external managed
services provider to continuously improve YPTC's technology
environment to provide a best-in-class experience for YPTC and its
staff members. As a Top 100 Accounting Firm, we invest heavily in
tools to support our staff that enable them to work without
interruption. We are seeking a proven, strategic leader to help us
constantly identify improvements and quality of tools available to
our staff to help us grow and remain on the cutting edge of our
industry. Responsibilities Continually assess YPTC technical
equipment, applications, and processes to identify and recommend
areas of improvement Serve as a subject matter expert for YPTC
internal applications Develop training and support materials for
orientation, staff meetings, and on-demand training for business
applications (currently include Office365, Bill.com, QuickBooks,
LastPass, and more) Work with stakeholders to develop, document,
and implement data and systems security data policies Maintain and
monitor the organization's backup and disaster recovery plans. Lead
projects from requirements definition through deployment,
identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project
implementation plans, including risk mitigation Coordinate internal
and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope,
schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff
from various functional departments Establish and maintain
relationships with appropriate stakeholders, providing day-to-day
contact on project status and changes Establish and maintain
processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, set project
quality and performance standards, and assess and manage risk
within and across multiple projects Develop and maintain
partnerships with outside resources-including third-party vendors
and researchers Monitor and assign resources appropriately to
streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
Oversee managed service vendor's equipment distribution for
onboarding and offboarding staff, manage equipment inventory to
support hiring, and maintain records of all company-owned equipment
Manages software licensing and acquisition Communicate system
changes and disruptions to appropriate users as needed
Qualifications A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university
- a major in technology or business preferred 5+ years of project
management experience, preferably within a corporate office or
professional services environment, PMP certification a plus
Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different
operating systems, and network administration Strong written and
verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and
management and explain technical issues Proven success working with
all levels of management Excellent resource planning, task
scheduling, and strong presentation skills Experience developing
in-house platforms for internal processes Experience coaching and
educating project teams to strengthen team members' capabilities
and skillsets. A demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts between
departments and work collaboratively with all members of YPTC A
commitment to ongoing continuing professional education to improve
and expand existing competencies and add new competencies. A
willingness to travel up to 10% NOTE: currently, we are working
remotely. There is potential for partial on-site work and
