Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals
achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an
effective team member. Provide intensive therapeutic interventions
with children and families in the form of assessments, individual,
group and family therapy. Provide initial and on-going assessments.
Provide supervision of IBHS BHT (Behavior Health Technician) as
assigned. Ensure utilization of approved evidenced-based models and
that the needs of the youth and family are being met. Provide
quality, trauma-informed services in the home, school and
community.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to stand and sit for extended
periods. Ability to pass training on crisis intervention and
defensive procedures.QUALIFICATIONS:Must meet one of the
following:1.) Licensed in PA as a psychologist, professional
counselor (LPC), marriage and family therapist (LMFT) or clinical
social worker (LCSW) OR2.) Licensed in PA as a social worker (LSW)
or behavior specialist AND have a graduate degree that required a
clinical/mental health direct service practicum OR3.) Have a
master's degree with at least 9 credit hours* specific to clinical
practice in psychology, social work or counseling from an
accredited college or university AND one (1) year full time
experience providing direct mental health services to youth/young
adults. Some clinical practicums may be considered to meet the
one-year experience.*Verified and approved credit hours include:
foundations of behavioral health and provision of mental health
services, individual, group and/or family therapy, crisis
counseling, cognitive and/or psycho-dynamic therapy, abnormal
psych, psychopathology, assessment, child development, personality
theory, psychotherapy lab. No more than 3 of the 9 can be derived
from a practicum.Must have strong communication and organizational
skills as well as be able to use an electronic health record
systemSPECIFIC DUTIES:1. Be knowledgeable and ensure compliance
with all Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) regulations,
standards and expectations.2. Complete comprehensive assessments
and treatment planning for assigned youth and families utilizing
evidence-based practices and tools.3. Provide intensive therapeutic
interventions per treatment plan, utilizing evidence-based
practices, with assigned youth and families that include
individual, group and family therapy modalities.4. Be flexible in
scheduling clinical treatment to meet participant and family needs,
services are delivered in the home, school and community.5. Provide
crisis intervention and management as indicated and/or assigned.6.
Develop individualized treatment plans and crisis/safety plans that
are developmentally appropriate, strengths-based and
trauma-informed.7. Monitor therapeutic interventions for
effectiveness and revise treatment plan and interventions as
needed.8. Attend and facilitate inter-agency meetings to coordinate
treatment planning and recommendations, identify progress and
barriers, and to ensure integration among all team members.9.
Complete initial and on-going functional behavior analysis
collaborating with all systems as indicated. Monitor effectiveness
and revise as needed.10. Provide consultation, education, support
to treatment team, family and school personnel to enhance a sense
