Technical Support Specialist

Job Description:

SUMMARYThe Technical Support Specialist will support the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and all issues related to the use and workflows of the LIMS for DrugScan. The technician will support internal and external customers, troubleshoot technical issues and resolve issues appropriately in a timely manner.
STATUS: Full-timeLOCATION: Drugscan - Horsham, PADEPARTMENT: Information TechnologySCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a help desk or IT support role
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Process/Workflow oriented approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Technical Support. Diagnose and respond to tickets involving technical customer service issues. Triage help desk issues and assign to other support personnel as necessary. Record all interactions with internal and external clients. Perform other duties as assigned by IT management.
    • Teamwork & Creative Development. Develop working knowledge for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to perform client issue resolution. Research and troubleshoot system problems using available resources; advice users and IT Management on appropriate action.
    • Customer Service. Work directly with customers both internal and external to resolve technical customer service issues. Respond to all requests in a timely, friendly manner. Communicate effectively and timely with both clients and DrugScan staff.
