Human Resources Coordinator - New York Cruise Lines (NYCL) is the parent company of industry-leading travel, tourism, entertainment, and restaurant businesses that emphasize the ultimate in hospitality set to the beauty of the NYC skyline. Operating from Pier 83 in Hudson River Park at 42nd Street and 12th Avenue, (convenient to Times Square, The High Line and Hudson Yards) and Pier 16 near the South Street Seaport and the World Trade Center, Circle Line is the oldest and largest provider of sightseeing cruises using the most modern vessels. NYCL also operates the iconic New York Water Taxi sightseeing and transportation fleet, New York's only maritime thrill-ride, The Beast, New York's premier luxury-charter fleet, World Yacht, and innovative maritime restaurant, North River Lobster Company. - Position Summary We are searching for a Human Resources Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations throughout all New York Cruise Lines brands. Under the direction of the HR Director, the Coordinator will support policies and procedures, interviewing, onboarding, and retention. -They will work closely with leadership and the HR Team to support and engage employees to strive for the best employment experience for all employees. - Position Responsibilities - --- Drive timely communication throughout the year for company announcements, annual notifications, annual enrollments, review periods, etc. --- In collaboration with the team, guide employee culture through well-designed engagement events, and analyze the results and impact. --- Act as the liaison between benefits and wellness campaigns to the employee population. --- Support leadership with interviewing, onboarding and recruitment of staff. --- Lead a successful onboarding process, providing a welcoming introduction to the company and ensuring all partnerships are in place. --- Support the administration of timely performance reviews. --- Review department metrics and develop action plans in partnership with the Director of HR to meet objectives. --- Partner with the HR Director on training and development initiatives for all employees. --- Manage and maintain compliance and reporting practices such as labor law posters, payroll regulations, time cards, and unemployment claims. --- Engage with employees regularly to address and support all HR needs. --- Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times. --- Other duties as assigned by management. - Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.2-3 years' experience in Human ResourcesIntermediate Microsoft Suite skills Prior use of ADP Workforce Now preferredStrong knowledge of labor legislation and payroll processes.Good understanding of the full recruitment process.Prior union experience preferredOutstanding verbal and written communication skills.Solid problem-solving and team management abilities. - If you are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume as a WORD document to hr@ in order to be considered for the position.
