Opportunity available for a Human Resource Generalist/ Recruiter. The ideal candidate will possess full life-cycle recruiting experience and payroll administration/processing experience. Performs duties in support of the bi-weekly payroll processing for 300+ employees. The Human Resources Generalist/ Recruiter will be accountable for the recruiting function and coordinating an effective candidate and hiring manager experience within the organization. This role will also act in an advisory capacity to management on matters of staffing and retention: Talent sourcing via job boards, referrals, network groups, universities Work collaboratively with hiring managers on identifying requirements and skills to complete and maintain accurate job descriptions Full life-cycle recruitment management Assist with project implementation of HR recruiting and onboarding modules Facilitate negotiation of job board or recruiting contracts Facilitate manager training with respect to interview and employment law Manage the internal posting process and maintain recruiting and retention status reporting Oversee the maintenance of applicant files in conjunction with state and federal laws Assist with special recruitment projects as assigned by the Director of HR The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter will be accountable for the payroll function: Supports and contributes to the processing of bi-weekly payroll for 300+ employees across 29 states Ensure the integrity of the payroll data including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and compensation changes Coordinate processing of employee income withholding orders and employment verifications with service provider. Ensures notifications are processed timely Calculate and process off-cycle checks for termination payments while ensuring compliance with state laws Provide customer service to internal customers regarding their paychecks and how to complete timecards Process any payroll related adjustment for retro payment, benefit corrections, etc. Oversees Human Resources Assistant in the performance of a variety of routine duties such as filing payroll-related documents and coding items within the payroll inbox Accurate and timely preparation of all tax authority set-ups, reporting, and auditing Reconciles each payroll register with Tax filing reports to assure accurate payment and timely tax filing are performed. Develops processes for managing payroll tax compliance and reconciliations Assist with special payroll projects as assigned by the Director of HR The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter will be accountable for the general and varied duties of Human Resources: Serves as a point of contact for employees and leaders. Proactively supports the delivery of HR processes and initiatives to internal clients. Actively identifies gaps and implements changes necessary in reducing and/or minimizing risk Deals with employee relations issues including but not limited to policy and procedure interpretation, corrective action, investigations and coaching Facilitates HR processes and procedures including, but not limited to, grievances, stay and exit interviews, corrective action, terminations and unemployment claims Regularly reviews employment regulations and ensures adherence and compliance Develops and regularly reviews policies and procedures. Assists staff and leaders in interpreting policies and procedures Offers feedback and proactively suggests solutions for improvement in all HR processes, activities and programs. Collaborates with team to develop and implement solutions Actively participates on and leads out on project teams, initiatives and committees as required Manages Human Resources Assistant Assists with special projects as assigned by the Director of HR Qualifications: Bachelor---s degree in Human Resources, Management or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required HR-specific certification preferred Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws required, with the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations. Demonstrated knowledge in ADA, FLSA and FMLA and other employment laws and regulations is critical Minimum of seven years of Human Resources experience required Minimum four years of multi-state payroll processing experience with small to mid-sized employers Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll Certification a plus Strong working knowledge of HR best practices required, with the ability to foresee future HR needs and trends and implement solutions that are forward-thinking and innovative Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare environment preferred Demonstrated competency in effective problem-solving, conflict management and resolution, performance management, motivation of others and critical thinking. The ability to professionally manage a difficult situation from start to finish is critical. These situations include, but are not limited to, investigations, terminations and workforce management issues The decision-making skills to be able to make efficient, effective and accurate decisions for the business and any HR-related issues that arise Strong professional ethics to maintain confidentiality of sensitive personal information of applicants, employees, former employees, and other matters affecting employee relations Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate files and records Strong ability to organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines The technical skills required to perform basic troubleshooting and to successfully perform simple and complicated tasks in programs such as Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, payroll software, Adobe Acrobat and internet browsers
