science, we’re in. Are you? About the Role: The Senior Director,
Medical Services will provide strategic leadership to Insmed’s
independent medical education (IME) and external research
functions, driving the vision and mission of the group. This role
will be responsible for developing and executing the strategies to
fill core educational and research gaps. The Senior Director,
Medical Services will drive operational excellence and continuous
process improvements across the functions. This will be a highly
strategic role that will require strong team leadership and
cross-functional collaboration. What You'll Do: Leadership –
Deliver strategic leadership for the Global Medical Services team
driving the mission and vision of the group. Ensure clarity in
goals, objectives, and expectations. Coach and develop team
members. Proactively plan for the future to ensure readiness and
effectiveness of the team. Strategy Development – Partner across
medical affairs and cross-functionally to develop strategy relating
to IME and External Research to fill educational gaps and research
needs including developing the areas of interest, determination for
need of RFPs, when to fund for pipeline brands, etc. Operational
Excellence – Drive excellence across all operational activities
including execution of Grants Review Committee and Insmed Medical
Affairs Research Review Committee. Develop annual budget and ensure
effective tracking and budget optimization. Ensure full compliance
with all laws, regulations, policies. Process Improvement –
Identify process improvement opportunities and drive solutions to
improve effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure all processes and
systems are built with external customer in mind. Identify
opportunities to incorporate AI in systems/processes. Functional
execution – Support day to day activities relating to IME and
External Research to support team as needed and during high volume
times. Metrics - Develop, track and report functional impact
metrics. Cross-functional Alignment - Partner across all of Medical
Affairs, particularly with Global Medical Strategy, Regions, Field
Medical, as well as cross-functionally. Future Focus – Incorporate
additional functional areas if necessary as Insmed grows and
evolves. Who You Are: Advanced degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, MD,
NP-C ) 10 years of Medical Affairs experience required including
experience with independent medical education and/or external
research Advanced leadership skills with minimum of 5-7 years of
people leadership experience ·Expert knowledge of relevant
guidelines including, but not limited to medical and regulatory
affairs, drug development, FDA and regulatory guidelines (i.e.,
PhRMA guidelines, OIG, AMA, ACCME, Sunshine Act, etc.) Global
mindset with understanding of US, European, and Japanese markets
Forward looking with continuous process improvement mentality
Strong strategic thinking with ability to connect multiple
components Strong leadership presence and ability to present and
engage across the organization Ability to influence decision making
Strong communication skills Ability to build effective
relationships with internal partners Enables creative problem
solving, encourages unique solutions, and effectively solves
challenges problems Proven track record working in a global
environment across multiple international markets Strong
understanding of regional healthcare systems and compliance
environments Excellent presentation and facilitation skills Fluency
