to Where History Meets Modern Day. To assist Banquet Managers in
providing 4 Diamond and more preparation, coordination, and
servicing of local and convention business. Liaises daily with
Banquet team, conference guests/planners to handle specific
requests and ensure guest satisfaction. Communicates changes to
appropriate hotel operating departments**Job-Specific Duties
- Answers department phone lines
- Maintain the accuracy of the BEO boards- (guarantees, replacing
revised/original BEO's)
- Weekly walkthrough of meeting space with follow-up to
Engineering/Banquets on maintenance requests (maintains
schedule)
- Set up maintenance schedule of carpet cleaning, chair cleaning,
and deep cleaning of meeting space
- Maintain food menu signage for buffets
- Maintain directional signage when/where needed
- Assist with pop up sites
- Attend training classes
- Types and distributes correspondence
- Sends, receives, and distributes mail and faxes
- Composes departmental reports
- Develops and maintains filing system
- Settles/Posts Banquet Charges/Checks
- Input Scheduling data & information on weekly basis
- Assists with UniFocus and other payroll related tasks
- Orders office supplies
- Other duties as assigned**General Duties
- Notifies appropriate individuals promptly and fully of all
problems and unusual matters of significance
- Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and
fellow employees
- Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
- Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training
sessions
- Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and
work area
- Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel
standards
- Complies with safety regulations and procedures
- Complies with hotel and department policies, standards, and
rules
- Remains current on hotel information and
changes**Qualifications
- Minimum two years office experience
- Familiar with dictation automation and dictation process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication, organization, and guest relations
skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule periodically, including
weekends and holidays**Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge and understanding of various Banquet & Food
Service techniques & standards
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Ability to speak, read & write the English Language
- Ability to stand, stoop & bend periodically during shift
