Overview
Position: Shift Supervisor
Department: Eliza Shirley House
Availability of Position: Immediate
Schedule: Full Time
Reporting Relationship: Assistant Director of ESH and Director.
Salary/Grade: $19.25 per hour; Grade 76 Non-Exempt

  Responsibilities
  Description of Position: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervising the shift and upholding the safety and welfare of shelter residents. - The Shift Supervisor oversees that Residential Advisors, answers the telephones, takes messages for staff and residents, greets visitors, and assists residents with their needs and concerns. - A Shift Supervisor also ensures that only authorized persons are admitted to the facility and makes regular rounds of the building to ensure an orderly and safe environment.
  Qualifications
  Requirements: - High School Diploma or GED, prior residential or customer service work experience, must be able to read, write and speak well in English, must have computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel Programs and be proficient in and the ability to utilize the internet. CPR and Crisis Management Training, a plus. - Must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Sanctuary Model.
