Brooks Instrument, a global manufacturer of flow and pressure measurement and control products for critical applications, and a division of ITW (A Fortune 200 Company) is seeking candidates for a Production Supervisor. Brooks maintains manufacturing, sales, and service center facilities around the world, and our products are used in laboratory and process applications in end markets such as: life sciences, petro-chemicals, semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, nuclear, and solar cells.

Job Description

Basic Function

The Production Supervisor would provide oversight and leadership to 1st shift production employees to comply with all safety, quality, quantity and housekeeping standards. This position would utilize the ITW tool box for improvements in delivery, productivity, inventory and overhead.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide for a healthy and safe work environment for all production personnel.
  • Support daily production requirements for each production cell by maintaining production schedules based on customer requested delivery.
  • Supervise all personnel and operations on the shift.
  • Ensure that ITW toolbox practices understood by the team and implemented within the operating unit.
  • Provide direction and training to staff to continuously improve the systems and processes used to fulfill customer orders.
  • Promote and support 5S discipline and the use of visual management tools throughout Manufacturing.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.
  • Train, upgrade, and evaluate employees on their specific duties.
  • Organize work for smooth operations.
  • Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure that properly qualified staff are in place within the team for efficient and high-performance operation to customer requirements.
  • Ensure conformance to the requirements of the Brooks Quality system.
  • Support company continuous improvement initiatives.
    Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • BS degree in Engineering, Technology or Business Administration required.
    • 3+ years of related supervisory experience in a production setting required.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience implementing lean manufacturing technologies preferred.
    • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and in writing required.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
