is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Release of
Information (ROI) Health Information Specialist to support Centra
Health (Hybrid) and VA Eye (Remote). This role is responsible for
processing medical record requests, maintaining HIPAA compliance,
and ensuring accurate and timely release of protected health
information (PHI). The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and
experienced in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. This
position requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced
healthcare environment while maintaining strict confidentiality
standards. Key Responsibilities Process Release of Information
(ROI) requests accurately and efficiently Retrieve and compile
medical records from EMR systems Ensure HIPAA compliance when
handling all protected health information Pull and generate reports
as needed Perform administrative functions related to ROI
processing Maintain organized documentation and tracking of
requests Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients,
and requestors Provide coverage support when onsite staff are out
(PTO/call-outs) Maintain productivity and quality standards
Training & Onboarding Datavant DHISC training • Hands-on,
role-specific training during the first 30 days Preferred Skills
Strong communication skills • Understanding of HIPAA and patient
privacy regulations • Computer proficiency and data entry accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required Must be 18 years of age or
older Ability to commute between locations as needed. Able to work
overtime during peak seasons when required. 1-year Health
Information related experience Pay ranges for this job title may
differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and
other requirements of the role. The estimated base pay range per
hour for this role is: $15.68 - $19.15 USD To ensure the safety of
patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health
screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such
as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted
from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human
Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the
